    Food Stuffs
  • 3/4 cups butter
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1-1/2 cups spent brewing grain
  • 1-1/2 cups Quaker Oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
    Seasonings
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

    Steps for Completion
  1. Process the spent grain for a couple of pulses until broken up.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat together softened butter, molasses, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, spent brewing grain, oats, and chocolate chips.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the butter-sugar bowl and mix together.
  5. Drop small balls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes until light golden brown. Let cool on sheet for 2 minutes then move to wire rack.
